This 1940 Zündapp KS600 is a very good example of a motorcycle with lots of original parts and a fine example of a KS600 with correct parts. The motorcycle has some surface rust on the nuts and bolt heads throughout the bike. This can easily be cleaned up. Back in 2011 the entire motorcycle was restored by us here at Vintage German Motorcycles. The motorcycle has a rebuilt Generator from Mike Aichner, rear drive is new and in excellent condition with new sidecar gears, New Bing 2/22 carb, new wheel bearings ,tires and tubes, new spokes, new frame race bearings with felts, new clutch rod parts, new driveshaft, new oil filter kit, new dampner disc, new brakes front and rear, new hub and lug nuts, new motor mount rubbers, new fork shims, New rubber (at the time), new cloth wire harness, new clutch adjuster, new high low headlight switch inside the headlight, new tool box lock, new rear seat and pannier bag mounts, new battery straps, etc. 

Original is the frame, fenders, hand shifter and foot shifter levers, forks, hubs and wheels, drivers seat frame, handlebars and all controls, headlight and speedo, speedo cable, motor and transmission, correct steel foot boards for KS600 only, horn and bracket, front brake hub, rear Hella tail light, passenger pegs, all linkage, header pipes, etc. This is full of extremely original parts. Lots of original RIBE bolts used.

We have all the documented photos of the bike back in 2011 and can show everything stated above. At the time of the restoration the motor was checked and not rebuilt. The transmission works and shifts into all 4 gears. Currently the motor will need a rebuild. The compression is low and needs to be rebuilt. I have photos of the heads off so you can also see the cylinders. This is a fantastic bike for a motor rebuild and you can end up with a very nice Zündapp KS600 in the end.   It has a nice original frame number and a waffen Ampt on the frame. This is an early KS600 and most were built in 1941.
